How do you get on track with fitness?

When you do good with your fitness you have this feeling that its all good! Its easy to keep going. What happens when you get off track? Its so hard to get back on track, RIGHT? I always have this problem. When I am doing good with my exercise its easy to follow to the next DVD or next run. But when I slack it is hard for me to get on track. One day turns to two, Two turns to three and then the next thing I know its January and I haven't ran since Thanksgiving. Wow! I was so mad at myself.

But that is it how do you pick yourself back up and keep going? Challenge groups help me. When I tell someone I will do something I am there everyday and doing what I said I was going to do! But why do I not do it for myself! This makes me mad. I want to have the same commitment to me! And my health. Personal development is a way to help to! Realistic goals is something I need to do for my life. I am not good at telling others things more then once. I want to say it once and move on! I think I am the same way with my fitness goals. So for me it is best if I stay committed by following a time period. Setting a routine is hard for me. Time budget is one thing I can't get a grasp on. Setting a time each day where you do it. I want to do that. And say everyday at this time I will exercise.

These are some points I am trying to say to myself about it. Starting where you left off will be hard sometimes. If you go a little bit prior to where you where before you slacked off then you will be able to do it. Praise, Don't beat yourself up! This will be hard but I want to be proud of myself and what I have done.

Dose Healthy Eating help you loose weight?

I always hear people talk about FOOD! And there are so many opinions on what is good for you and what is not! I truly believe that it is not all about the FOOD! I think that if you want to live a healthier life that you need to start with a step by step process. I was reading in my personal development book call The Slight Edge,  If we take our focus off the scale and start focusing on the journey. Its not one unhealthy meal or one skipped workout that caused you to gain 25 pounds. Its the unhealthy decisions that add up over 2 years that made you gain 25 pounds. Its the same way in loosing 25 pounds. Its a daily healthy decision that over a long period of time. This really hit home to me!

I started back in 2008 trying to find healthy alternatives to feed my family so we where not eating processed junk all the time. It is good they make it with things that make you want to eat it! Comfort foods. But if we take little steps we are making ourselves better. If you start by mixing white flour with wheat till you are use to just using wheat it is so much better for you. Its that way with most foods that are good for you! I have been doing this so much I don't realize it anymore. In Feb of 2013 I started on my quest to being not only healthy eating but to be in better shape in my physical body. I signed up with beachbody and then started working out! And changing the way I think about things. Even when I wasn't able to work out this summer I have changed in my eating and activity level. I was able to do these things I have been setting my mind to. I lost weight just by eating better and being more active with the kids. Swimming, biking, walking and going to the park I didn't think of it as being good for me. I went to the doctors office and found out I have lost 15 pounds just by healthy eating, and higher activity level. And I lost inches and not even trying. This makes me so happy to know that all my work on healthy alternatives and activity levels has started me on a process of being a better me! So I do think that eating healthy will help people loose weight. We just need to start one step at a time. One healthy choice at a time. It is a process we all need to choose to do!
